PROGRAM ALIGNMENT WITH STATE STANDARDS

  • Tyndale’s learning goals for each level meet and/or exceed the standards published by the Arizona Department of Education. We will tailor instruction and program outcomes to the Vertical Articulation of Standards K-12 as published on the AZED website. (This link takes you to ELA standards; please navigate the site for all other subject standards). Although we are using classical methods of instruction, the outcomes will be the same wherever appropriate.

  • Transition from one level of learning to the next will be informed by the child’s mastery of skills at each particular level. For example, all children will need to consistently read and comprehend age-appropriate texts with independence, and also demonstrate mastery in basic grammar and sentence-level writing skills before transitioning into the Logic School. Beyond the acquisition of core skills, there is no additional requirement for progression in the Grammar and Logic Schools.

  • Graduation requirements: Students enrolled in the Rhetoric School must follow the AZ state recommendation for graduation in order to receive a diploma as follows:

  • Each “credit” will be dictated by the mastery of certain skills and projects. The requirements for each credit will be listed on the website as the documents become available. Transcripts from previous schools will be reviewed and applied as appropriate. â€‹
